What is Gupi?

Gupi is a short video platform built for Nigerians, by Nigerians. It’s where you can watch, create, and share fun, creative, or informative videos that reflect your culture, music, humor, and lifestyle.

How do I create an account?

You can sign up using your phone number or email. Simply download the app, tap 'Sign Up', follow the prompts, and you’re in!

Is Gupi free to use?

Yes! Gupi is completely free to download and use. You can watch videos, create content, and engage with other users at no cost.

How do I upload a video?

1. Tap the “+” button in the center of the bottom menu.
2. Grant camera/microphone/storage permissions.
3. Record or upload a video from your gallery.
4. Add music, effects, hashtags, and post!

Can I make my account private?

Yes, go to your Profile > Settings > Privacy, and toggle 'Private Account.' Only people you approve can see your content.

How can I report inappropriate content or users?

Tap the three dots (…) on any video or profile and select 'Report.' Our moderation team will review it and take necessary action.

Why was my video removed?

Your video may have violated our Community Guidelines (e.g., nudity, violence, hate speech). Check your notifications or contact support for more details.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Profile > Settings > Account > Delete Account. Once deleted, your content and data will be permanently removed.

What kind of content is allowed on Gupi?

We encourage original, positive, creative, and respectful content. Anything involving hate speech, nudity, harassment, or illegal activity is not allowed and will be removed.

Who can see my videos?

By default, your videos are public. You can change this to private per video, or make your entire account private in the settings.

How do I become verified on Gupi?

We verify notable creators, artists, and public figures. If you're gaining traction, we may reach out—or you can apply via Profile > Settings > Verification.
